Dr. DeBartolo has been awarded the trademark serial number 76685581 for the Lite Lift, a less extensive, non-light and non-laser face lift surgery. The area is anesthetized with a specific formula anesthesia agent and the face lift incision is made in front of the ear and is carried down to the SMAS fascia. A plication is done with the SMAS fascia over the muscle and is tightened with a suture that absorbs in approximately 6 months. The extra skin is then excised and the face is tightened.

A row of absorbable sutures that absorb in approximately 2 months is placed underneath the surface of the skin, not showing on the surface, but buried sutures. Then the closure is reinforced with a nylon suture which is removed in 10 days. The patient may usually wear a ponytail in 1 month time. This is an ideal procedure for a patient with sagging of the face who needs tightening.
